Univolt Charger

I took the UNIVOLT cover and the insulated UNIVOLT box to discover what I thought was some other kind of charger - having never seen a UNIVOLT. But it was in fact THE UNIVOLT charger. What threw me off is that the words UNIVOLT did not appear anywhere on the case.

The unit was actually fairly clean. But what a noisy unit! It has to be a UNIVOLT! Nothing else could make that much niose. No wonder the sheet metal box that surrounds it is insulated - for sound dampening.

The label says "Max 70 Amps". It will be replaced with an Intellipower solid state unit. Maybe I can use this for yard lighting or something like that...
