Prepare Shower For New Valve

To accommodate the new mixing valve the hole had to be enlarged a little. It also had to be offset to center the new plate.

Drill Rig

Using this piece of wood and the 2 screws I formed a drilling rig. The purpose is to drill a perfect hole for the new shower valve. I fastened this piece of wood to the underside of the shower at the existing hole. Using a hole saw (yes, itís the one I used for the Turlet Removal procedure), I cut an enlarged hole big enough to take the new valve.

The New Hole

Here is the completed hole. The cut is clean and centered so that the new valve will be positioned perfectly.
